A lunar new year project... Again it is made from hard hollow tube, but this time it is a huge one. I picked it up from Ikea. I'm volunteering to teach some craft during this November holiday. These are the two crafts I'm teaching... Making use of the toilet paper roll (commercial type) , egg shells and "ticum" balls (扭蛋), I recycled these into useful items - Stationery Holder and Decoration Baubles. What I used here are those polyfoams that I collected free from neighbours who bought new electrical items. It comes with the packaging that are then dumped outside. From a wooden wine carton, I put layers of sponge around the surface of the box. A piece of cloth was wrapped around with a staple gun to secure all the loose ends to the box. By adding a simple drawing onto this new leg rest, it blends in the whole decor of the living room.

I learned this from a craft website, but couldn't believed my eyes after all the tealight candle holders are lighted up in the dark. Creating this 5 ants was not an ikan bilis job, with a prop (the boat) & another 2 big rocks, I took about 2 weeks just to complete them. Hahaha! It was really a motivation for me when I got this letter. Our lantern won 1st prize for the 7th Creative Lantern Making Competition held at Chinatown Point for the Pre-school Category. Yes! Another of my Lantern project submitted for the competition. I used 5 plastic egg cartons to assemble the lantern's shape. Those flowers were made by cutting out individual egg mould from the carton. A picture of a Budha, quite similar to those in the market selling in thousands. It was love at first sight when I saw this carved Budha pict in a garden. In order to own one, I wrapped a big piece of recycled board with a cloth by spraying the back with adhesive. Staple gun was used to get those loose ends of the cloth nicely intact. Using 6B pencil, I sketched the picture directly on it...

This is a birthday gift made from can... I painted it and added some wires around with a pole that can hold memo on it. A few clay ornaments are glued on which are made by my 6 year old son. The can container can hold coins in it. Look cute rite??

I learnt of this idea from a library book. Turning used plastic bags into something interesting is amazing. The bulging effect of the fillings inside transformed the framework for any photo or artwork into a pillow. As shown on the top pic, it's a cross stitch where I framed it up using this method, it does need lots of work especially those corners... Can you recognised its a plastic from G2000?

Have you ever think of how to make use all the plastic balls that comes with the 'ticum' machines? Throwing away all this cute little balls are quite a waste to me, so I sprayed them all into white. I stringed them up and make into a partition near my foyer. Isn't that wonderful!
